Meet Walid Abi Ghannam

With over eighteen years of international experience spanning the Middle East and Africa, I am an architect and project manager dedicated to shaping high-quality built environments. My career is defined by a unique blend of hands-on architectural design and strategic leadership, ensuring that residential and mixed-use projects are delivered with both creative vision and operational precision.

My Journey in Architecture

I am a graduate of the Lebanese University – Faculty of Architecture (2005). I started my career working with prestigious engineering and construction companies in Lebanon, where I contributed to the design and supervision of many residential and commercial projects, especially at the beginning of my career, as I was the architect on the site of the thirteen-story Clemenceau Specialized Clinics building as an employee of the prestigious Hourie Company.

In 2008, I expanded my expertise to the Gulf region, joining Saudi Oger in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to work on the prestigious King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) project. The following year, I was assigned to Oger Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, where I participated in the development of the Abu Dhabi Financial Center (ADFC).

Returning to Lebanon in 2010, I founded Dar Al Aamara, an architectural practice specializing in the design and execution of residential buildings. This venture allowed me to focus on creating tailored living spaces, managing projects from concept through to completion.

In 2022, I took on new challenges in East Africa and the Middle East. I relocated to Juba, South Sudan, to join Venture International as a Project Coordinator, overseeing several residential and villa projects. Later that same year, I was appointed by CAP Consultants as Project Manager for the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers (BCOM) project in Baghdad, Iraq. To further strengthen my leadership capabilities, I completed a Diploma in Project Management from the American University of Beirut in 2024, solidifying my expertise in planning, execution, and strategic project leadership.
